Let’s be honest: the car business doesn’t have the best reputation. For decades, dealerships have been known for pushing hidden fees, manipulating payments, and using pressure tactics to make a sale. And while some improvements have been made thanks to FTC regulations and legal oversight, many dealers comply only because they don’t want to get caught—not because it’s the right thing to do.
After 15 years in the industry, I’ve seen it all—payment packing, add-on traps, deceptive “discounts.” These unethical practices are still the norm in many dealerships today. The truth is, the world needs more integrity—and someone has to deliver it.
I believe I’m one of those couriers.
Every morning, I used to drive by a billboard from Herb Chambers that read:
“We don’t sell cars. We help people buy them.”
That line stuck with me.
